How do Sessions work?

1. Client Secures a date and specific session by paying a 100% Retainer (All Sessions must be paid in Full) unless a payment plan is set up between client and photographer

(Retainer can be made Via Cashapp $mjophoto or Booking Site requires full payment  The client can also have invoice sent from Photographer (Contract is sent directly to client after Booking, No images are taken without signed contract NO EXCEPTIONS.

2. Client and photographer shoot at Studio or On-location add $40 additional Location, add $40 additional outfit, 30 min if needed. 

3. 50-100 images are normally taken at photo shoot

4. Photographer edits photos, narrows them down to 20-40

5. Client and photographer meet at studio within two -four weeks to go over gallery or a link is sent to client.

6. Client can choose to purchase custom prints from photographer (Highly Recommend) 

7. Client chooses instant downloads at Studio or can register and create a favorites gallery 

8. Client has access to Online Gallery for one month.


Cancellation Policy-If the Client cancels a session without rescheduling or fails to show for a scheduled session, the retainer shall be a forfeited. 100% retainer will be non-refundable.  

Rescheduling-In the event that the Client requests to reschedule a session, the retainer shall be applied to a rescheduled session if notice is given at least 7 days prior to the scheduled event. If the rescheduling request is due to a Client illness, less notice may be allowed. The Photographer or Client may request to reschedule the session due to weather; discussion about the possibility of rescheduling should begin 24 hours prior to the session with a final decision made no later than 1 hour prior to the session. Rescheduled sessions must occur within two weeks. 

Where do we meet for a session?

My boutique Photography Studio is nestled in the Mary Crest Building located at 2015 W. Western Ave. South Bend, In 46619 Suite 211, second floor. If weather permits, there are plenty of locations in the Michiana area. 

What color Backdrops do you have at Studio?

Currently White &Grey. Mary-Jo Richie Photography strives to keep trending colors in the Studio, more Background colors will be added through-out the year. Backdrops are available to babies 4-12 months. 


How long will it take to get my images?

When you book a session the turn around time is two-four weeks from the date of your shoot. Additional $50 to speedy process in one week, 7 days,
Additional $75 two day process can apply additional to Birthday, Branding and Portrait sessions. 

We will meet at Studio to go over gallery.  It's best to Book 2-4 weeks in advance.

Prints & Products may take 6-8 weeks depending on when you select final images.


What are Sneak Peaks?

Sneak peaks are 2-5 photos posted on social media with watermarked for sharing.


How many images do I get?

Branding-Depends on package. All other Sessions-5 digital images. Surprise gift included in all Birthday & Portrait Sessions ($170-$250 value) Photographers Choice! Additional prints can be purchased for a fee. After 5, $20 each digital image after 5. (Print Release gives clients access to printing items and prints on their own). 

How can I print my photos?

For Professional results, purchasing prints directly from Photographer guarantees beautiful images. $100 minimum order. Printing pricing is located on FAQ drop down menu on website. 

A print release is given to all clients, Recommendation for printing online Shutterfly 

Are the images edited?

All of the images are color corrected and lightly retouched. I deliver images that enhance the beauty of the person I am capturing. I want you to look like yourselves but I want you to look amazing. You can speak to me about extra retouching for additional fees. 

Where can I find Wedding information?

All Wedding services are discussed with a complimentary Wedding Consultation in person or via Face-time, your big day is important! Plus I want to hear all the details!

Do you offer Maternity & Senior sessions?

Yes, I advertise Branding & Birthdays, but I still shoot Maternity & Seniors. Photos are located on Portrait menu button.

What am I paying for?

The Session fee includes the Experience with a Professional Photographer, Quality, The Photographers Time and Talent, Posing and Style. Post Processing, Editing and Retouching. Communication-Phone-Messages. Coordinating Outfit selection, Booking, meet-up at locations in the Michiana area. Digital Downloads=Full Printing Rights. Photos are an investment, my focus it to give you the best quality. Please refer to drop down menu for Boutique Pricing on Prints & Products $100 minimum order on all prints & products.


Do you hold dates?

If you would like to hold a date you must have a electronic/signed contract and invoice retainer paid. 100% is due at the time of Booking. 100% non-refundable retainer fee with all sessions if you CANCEL and do not reschedule you forfeit your deposit/retainer fee.. Please read agreement before Booking. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Do you travel?

Yes, I  travel anywhere. The travel fee is a round trip flight to the location and 2 nights stay for the day of coverage. 

What should I wear?

I suggest denim or white. It always looks great! I also suggest coordinating outfits. Please feel free to contact me for suggestions. 


*Make-up Application- is highly recommended, I can refer you to talented Make-up artist in the area.
